Mrs. Plunkett is a 1991 graduate of Arab High School.  During high school, Mrs. Plunkett was in the band and played the saxophone.  She was also in the Beta Club, on the Math Team (imagine that!), and was in the A Club.  Mrs. Plunkett went to college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), where she received her bachelors degree and masters degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science.

Mrs. Plunkett started teaching at AHS in 2004.  Prior to teaching here, she taught at UAH for six years.  She came back to teach at her alma mater so that she would have the same schedule as her family.  Mrs. Plunkett married Mr. Plunkett (Jason) who is a 1989 graduate of Arab High School and an ICU nurse at Huntsville Hospital. They were married on December 17, 1994.  They have three boys:  twins, Jonathan and Jeremy, and the youngest, Jamey.

Mrs. Plunkett is very active in her church, where she teaches a ladies Sunday School class and evening Bible study.  Mrs. Plunkett is actually an author herself.  Her first book, Prayers from the NICU, will be available in the fall of 2010.  It is a devotional that records her journey as the mother of three premature babies.  Mrs. Plunkett loves reading, writing, and going to her boys' athletic events.  Jonathan plays basketball and baseball.  Jeremy is a basketball fanatic.  Jamey is a really big fan of his big brothers at this point.
